Late Work Night....

So Ron switches with Jessie tonight and had to work 3-9. Part time patty I know! So I just stayed at home washed our sheets and relaxed. Ron was shocked that I washed my "blankies" too. Those things havent been washed since, well I cant remember! When I went to sleep they were no where near as comfortable as the night before :-( Ill get over it!

I dont like being at home alone while Ron works till 9. I have to do it all over again tomorrow. Ugg.....good thing though there is only one more day till my surprise date night with my handsome man!!

Dinner Night with Brittney

The Cutest Bottle of Wine ever...Ron said we are going to get all of them and put our lucky ducks in a row :-)

Our First Ever Dinner Guest

Ron was mad that I was taking so many pictures

Ron Cleaning up from dessert

So tonight we had our first ever dinner guest over to swim and enjoy a nice dinner together. Brittney came over and swam with us and enjoyed some wine at the pool. I made fried pork chops, mashed potatoes, and gravy (my first shot at gravy wasnt half bad I must say) We all enjoyed a lot of laughter and had a really nice time. Ron and I enjoy entertaining our friends thats one of the many things we have in common.

The video on the other hand was a total funny moment courtesy of my lovely boyfriend. We have a bar in our kitchen and Ron and I the other day were acting like we were going down stairs. Childish I know, well so tonight he wanted me to show Brittney my version of the stairs. He said I look like a chicken...so I got him to do the esclator and got him on camera....Ron sweetie you will NEVER live this down!

Date night...Casino...NO AC!!!

No AC...time for a photo shoot!!

Rons Favorite picture from the night...

My tan sexy man!!

Friday Night Date night attempt one: It was our first date night of one every week. I surprised Ron and took the day off...I had planned that we would haev gone to the zoo and have a picnic, but I would take off the day that was the hottest of the year! Therefore, the zoo was out of the question. So we went to the Indiana State Museum, which for the money I guess was a good deal, but the museum was kinda a let down. We then ended up at Scottys Brewhouse for lunch which was good, then we came home and Alisha, Justin and the kids came to visit, which is always nice, then Ron went to bed with a terrible headache at 8pm. I watched some TV and fell asleep on the couch. In my mind, date night attempt #1, was not so successful. It was still fun though, next week is Rons week, hes already saying how its going to top mine.....we will see!

So we went to Anderson tonight to look at Old Navy for shorts for Ron, only to discover that there isnt any shorts that he likes. After going to Khols and discovering that he is in love with old man shorts that look like hes going to hit the golf course with a pair of depends, we decided to go to the casino just to see what they had to offer.

We go in and get Ron a players card, they gave him $5 free dollars, that had to be activated by using a $1. So we put the dollar in the machine, and come out with $6....so we decide to head over to the fish game, where we put the $6 in.....only to sit there for about 5 min and walked away with $80! We tried to figure out what we were going to do with the money, then we decided that we would go upstairs and eat the buffet where they had crab legs and steak and prime rib on the menu! We pigged out!! We were on such a high from doing all of that we were so excited to come home and drink some dirty bananas and watch some movies....until.....

We got home and found our apartment to be extremely hot! Our thermostat said that it was 85 in our house! We knew we left with the air being at 73....only because it felt a little hot when we were getting ready. So we called the emergency maintenance guy to come out and fix it, well little did we know he lives right next door. So he comes over and looks at it and comes to the conclusion that our compressor is out on our air conditioner. and that someone would be out tonight to fix it. Needless to say its midnight and no one is here, nor were they ever coming. They dont fix air conditioners at night so we have to sit in a 80 degree apartment all night....so much for our good night!

Plus Friday....Ron and I surprised Mom and David with balloons for their anniversary while they were leaving Olive Garden for lunch. Luckily someone fell right next to where they were sitting or else we probably would have missed them. I love when our little family can share fun days like that. The four of us are so close, its soo nice. Happy Anniversary Parental Units! We love you!

Dinner with the Mothership and Bonus Dad....

Tonight we took moms hot and cold bag back that we had used when we moved all of our food out of the old apartment. She was making one of my favorite things ever, bacon cheeseburger pie. We didn't intend on eating there, but she of course pulled my chain to stay.

They will be celebrating their one year wedding anniversary tomorrow, Im so happy of that too. I thought the day would never come that they would get married. But they did and Im so happy that I got the chance to be the official photographer that day. I love them both so much, and so does Ron, thats why hes the preferred child. Shocked, Im not ;-)

We also watched some Big Brother tonight, thats something that I am obsessed with during the summer TV season. Ron has gotten into it, but the girl that he thought was cute in the house got voted out tonight, so sad. lol.

I also finished our paris wall. the only thing that is missing are our pictures hanging up on the walls of the apartment, we have to get with Brittney and get this done, we dont have any pictures of us around the house and that needs to change. I have some that I can print off and put up and I need to do that as well this weekend.

Tomorrow is my first planned date night with Ron. Well actually its a date day. We are planning on going to the zoo and seeing the cheetahs. We are both really excited about it and I cant wait to post some pictures.

All Moved in...

Well we did it. We are all moved in and unpacked...well for the most part unpacked in our new home. Rons version of unpacking means moving boxes that need to be unpacked out of sight...but they still need to be unpacked. lol.

I will post pictures tonight, we finally got our internet working and Ron got his computer working finally! Now just onto the car!! haha!

We will get there someday right??

Last Day

Tonight is the last night in our Apartment before we move tomorrow....we are both really excited. We have everything packed up and ready to go! The only thing that is left is to pack the bathroom essentials and throw out some trash :-) and get the stuff out of the attic...

We talked last night and decided that we are each week going to have a date night. The way we decided whos week it is, is who ever gets paid that week gets to plan date night. For example, we are starting the week of the 23rd. Thats my week to get paid so I have to plan date night some night that following week...so I need to start thinking! This is a big deal and I want to make sure that the first date is good so that Ron has at least something to top! haha...

We move tomorrow! I know it will be be a busy day, I wish I could take off work but I cant considering 2 people are already off and everyone around here is making a big deal out of it. So hopefully Ron and his friends can handle it! I know they can!

Decor Shopping...

I have been trying to get cute ideas on how to decorate our new apartment, luckily we have some friends that both really like to decorate, one being an interior designer who we could get to help :-) but the more I keep looking the more my wish list grows...

I don't think Ron would appreciate the list right now :-)

2 More Days.....

Counting down the days until we can move!! We are basically all packed, all that is left is the kitchen and some of the bathroom supplies (shower stuff) Tonight Im going to finish up the back room, throwing stuff out and getting it all organized and then pack up shoes, as well as finish the bathroom stuff....I actually need to go through shoes, Ron said that most of the shoes aren't making the move, well I have a bigger closet now so they could possibly go :-) haha. We will see...

Crazy Weekend...

This weekend was very busy! Friday night Ron had to work so I went shopping with Alisha to find her a new bathing suit. We enjoyed our time together. Then we met Ron for some Taco Bell after he got off work.

Saturday we got up early and went and got paint to re-paint the living room and bedroom. Then that night I had the Tom Petty Concert and had a lot of fun. Ron ended up going to hang out with his friend Ben.

Sunday I had a viewing for a friend at work and a college classmate, whos twin brother passed Thursday morning. Ron went and did some laundry and packed some stuff up from his brothers.

So Ron made his list for his 10 things he is thankful for as well....Ive been waiting for him to email me with these, but he hasn't been able to considering hes the only one at work this morning until 1pm. Below is Rons list:

My List of things I'm thankful for. (In no particular order)

10. Shane Tatom: Without this man in my life I don't know where I would be. He gave me my first "real" job, he paid for my schooling, he bought me a car, he basically saved my life! He made me into the man I am toady. This man is my father....

9. My Job: With FedEx being one of the top 25 companies in the world to work, I'm very fortunate to have such a great job with great benefits that me and my future family will be able to benefit from. With so many people out of work in the US its nice just to say that I have a job. Plus thanks to FedEx Ive found the girl of my dreams!

8. My Grandparents: When my mother and father decided that having a son to take care of didn't sound like anything they wanted to take part of my grandparents stepped in and raised me! Without them I cant even imagine where I would be.......My grandmother showed me how to respect women while my grandfather showed me the meaning of a family and what it means to take care of one.

7. My Brother: My brother is the one person in this that I know always has my back. He is my little brother, but a few times in my life he has taken care of me. I love my brother more than life its self there is nothing that I wouldn't do for him.

6. My health: I've had so many bumps in the past, but overall I can say I feel great! I can run all day! That's something that Im really thankful for and take for granted...I cant imagine what it would be like to be confined to a bed or too sick to eat.

5. Whitney Crowder: AKA the love of my life! Now I know all of the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls brought me here. Whitney made me feel that it is ok to love again! This is a love that Ive never felt before. Just in a short three months I can honestly say that this is the girl that I want to spend the rest of my life with! I want her to be my wife, the mother to my children, the women that I want by my side everyday! I cant imagine my life without her! She is the light of my life and the girl of my dreams! The feeling that I get from her when she calls me baby is like nothing Ive ever felt before! My one true love.

4. X-Box Live: As funny as it may sound live has brought a few really good friend in my life....The Powell family...over the past few years I've gotten to know them and think of them as my family! We've done a lot of fun things together. Plus it's a great way for me to stay connected to my friends in NC and other parts of the US. Its just a good time.

3. My Friends: Over the years Ive lost some friends and gained some new ones, but I have a few core friends who have always been by my side and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world! I couldn't get through my day without talking to as least one of my friends. Plus Im so lucky to be in love with my best friend!

2. My freedom: Its something that we don't think about on a daily basis, without it we wouldn't be able to live our lives the way we want to!

1. The fact that I can count on both hands the ones that I love!

10 Things...

I was challenged at work today to make a list of ten things I'm thankful for....I have never thought of making one of these...so this should be interesting...

  1. Having a Job: My job is pretty easy and laid back and sometimes fun. I know most people don't have a job, and I'm thankful that I have one that is flexible when needed, challenging and fun.
  2. Having great friends: I would have to say that I have some amazing friends. They listen when I need to vent and are there through thick and thin. Yeah we may have had our arguments and fights, but all in all we will always be there for each other.
  3. Wonderful Family: My family is pretty amazing. We always do stuff together and have fun little nights together. Mom & David especially. They are always inviting me and Ron over for dinner and to do fun stuff with. Some people don't have family like that, and Im glad that Ron & I have family to lean on when needed.
  4. Being an Aunt: Kyle, Zoe, Kayla and Braylon are my world. I love to spoil them and have them over for sleepovers and take them to fun places and just to hear them laugh makes my day. Im fortunate to have such good nieces and nephews♥
  5. Food and Shelter: with moving soon Ron and I have a pretty amazing apartment now, but in a week it will get even better. I'm thankful that I'm not out living on the street and not knowing when I was going to eat again.
  6. Being a Little Sister: Growing up I always wanted a little sister to play with. Instead I was granted with an older brother and later in life 3 step brothers and a step sister. I really only talk with one of my step-siblings, which is Justin, and used to talk to Stephen until a lot of family drama happened (see next point...) but Austin I have remained close with through ups and downs in his life the same with Justin. I know they would both be there for me if anything ever went wrong.
  7. Living Drama Free: I made a promise to myself a couple months ago that I was going to live my life for me, not to make anyone else happy. I was going to start standing up for myself and knock out all dramatized people out of my life. Did I hurt some peoples feelings? Yes, but after that I felt a lot better after it was all done and over with....
  8. My Sister in Law: Alisha has become one of my best friends. We talk just about everyday about stupid girl stuff, kids, and boy problems. But she is always a good shoulder to lean on when I need support or just someone to vent to. I have been blessed with an amazing sister in law!
  9. Being Healthy: aside from allergies, I am a pretty healthy woman. Im going to knock on wood and end there. :-)
  10. My boyfriend: Without Ron I wouldn't have made all these changes in my life. I'm changing for the better and I'm enjoying it. I'm so ready to see what our future holds for us, start a family and grow old with each other. I can honestly say I have found my one true love and hes not ever getting away from me.
Hopefully sometime I can get Ron to write his out so I can type his responses on here as well.

We have the living room totally done, and I really have to bust butt Saturday evening....considering Ron works tomorrow night, and I have the Tom Petty concert this weekend.

July 4th Weekend♥

Our Serious Look....

Me and Madre...

Mom and Ron...

Me and my handsome boyfriend....

The Parental Units, acting like children...

We had a very busy and exciting weekend! Friday Ron had to work until 9 so I hung out with a friend from college to catch up and then ran some errands. Saturday we woke (well I woke up) at 9:30 went and paid some bills and finally got the paper we were waiting on to move into the new apartment. Luckily when I went into the office, the Owner was in there and I cornered her to fill out the paper work, well she was under a time crunch so the lady that I always deal with, Wanda, filled out the paperwork! I went running home and told Ron to get ready that we were going to Bluestone! He was excited! So we turned in our paper and decided on the way there that we were going to move a week early! So instead of moving on the 23rd we are moving on the 16th!

Then Saturday night we went over to Mom and Davids to watch some of the drunken porch peoples fireworks and have a fire...well there was this cute little stray cat that Mazie wanted everything in the world to do with, well I made the mistake of picking up the cat and brought it into the yard. Mazie played with him and he ended up spending hte night on the porch. We named him Thackery Binx from the movie Hocus Pocus....he stayed around all day on Saturday and sunday....

Sunday we spent the day at Mom and Davids house, ate hamburgers, "Aggs" or Eggs as normal people would say it, french fries, and fruit, then we rode in the deuce to Greenfield Fireworks. David taught me how to drive the deuce so now I guess I can say that Ive driven a HUGE army vehicle! YIKES! It was fun though!!

Overall we had a really good weekend, I am only working a 4 day work week, hopefully Ron can do the same....but Im going to be packing most of the week to try to get everything all situated so that I can paint on Friday when Im off!

Ready for an exciting weekend♥

So I have been deleting pictures on my camera for the weekend festivities! Our friend Brittney has agreed to take some pictures of us downtown this weekend. Which will be a lot of fun, but when taking pictures off my camera I found some shots from Chicago that we took when we went there a month ago to see Topher and Fishbowl....

We were at Millennium Park....

On the swings at Navy Pier...

We didnt take very many pictures while in Chicago, but we will be back Im sure!

Ron is currently at his starbucks meeting with his District Manager and his Center Manager. Hopefully it is good news! What kills me is that its right across the street and I keep catching myself looking over there to see if hes coming out, even though I cant see that far :-)

Im excited to post pictures of the weekend on the next post! Im sure there will be lots of pictures to share!

The Crazies....

Last night Kurtis came over and watched a stupid movie called The Crazies.... the movie was about this town that all had this epidemic, and it had 48 hours to basically kill you. The movie was typical scary movie but what made it ok to watch was that Kurtis and Ron were cracking up at the parts instead of being scared. I made some "crack" dip and we enjoyed the movie.
